Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (e.g., pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (thyme or dill) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and sour cream until smooth.
  2. Stir in the herbs (chives and parsley), garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly incorporated.
  3. Use your hands to form the mixture into a ball shape. If sticky, wet your hands slightly.
  4. Wrap the ball tightly in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. While chilling, chop your nuts finely and set aside in a shallow dish.
  6. Once chilled, unwrap the cream cheese ball and roll it in the chopped nuts until fully coated.
  7. Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle with additional fresh herbs, and enjoy with crackers or veggie sticks.
