Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon wedges (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and cut the broccoli into even-sized florets. Make sure they are relatively dry.
- In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Ensure florets are evenly coated.
- Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding to ensure proper browning and crispiness.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp and the edges are nicely browned and crispy. Toss the broccoli halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Garnish with lemon wedges and Parmesan cheese (if desired).
