Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and cut the broccoli into even-sized florets. Make sure they are relatively dry.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Ensure florets are evenly coated.
  4. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding to ensure proper browning and crispiness.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp and the edges are nicely browned and crispy. Toss the broccoli halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Garnish with lemon wedges and Parmesan cheese (if desired).
