Ingredients:
- 6 ounces (170g) Salami, thinly sliced and chopped
- 8 ounces (225g) Fresh Mozzarella, diced
- 1/4 cup (30g) Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- Salt and Black Pepper to taste
- 1 pound (450g) Pre-made Pizza Dough
- 1 large Egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon Milk or Water
- Sesame Seeds or Poppy Seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine chopped salami, diced mozzarella, grated Parmesan, olive oil, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to a 1/4-inch thickness. Cut the dough into roughly 2-inch squares.
- Place a spoonful of the salami-mozzarella filling in the center of each dough square.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle or rectangle. Pinch the edges tightly to seal.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk (or water). Brush the tops of the bites with the egg wash. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds, if desired.
- Arrange the bites on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the filling is melted and bubbly.
