Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (Dutch-processed recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon (12 g) Erythritol, Stevia, or Monk Fruit Sweetener (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Sea Salt
  • Optional: Sugar-free whipped cream or marshmallows for topping

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together the almond milk, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Continue to whisk constantly until the mixture is hot and slightly thickened. Avoid boiling.
  4. Taste the hot chocolate and adjust the sweetener to your preference.
  5. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and top with sugar-free whipped cream or marshmallows (optional).
