Ingredients:
- 1.5 to 2 pounds frozen chicken breasts (about 4 medium-sized breasts)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Crock Pot: Place your crock pot on a stable surface and plug it in.
- Add the Frozen Chicken: Place the frozen chicken breasts directly into the bottom of the crock pot.
- Apply Olive Oil and Seasoning: Drizzle olive oil over the frozen chicken breasts. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over all sides of the chicken.
- Add Liquid: Pour in one cup of chicken broth around but not directly on top of the seasoned chicken to ensure that it doesnt wash away your seasoning too much.
- Cover and Cook: Securely place the lid on your crock pot. Set your cooking time: For Low: Cook for about 6 to 8 hours until fully cooked and tender. For High: Cook for approximately 3 to 4 hours.
- Check for Doneness: Ensure that internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (75°C) using a meat thermometer before serving.
- Optional Step: If you want shredded chicken: After cooking time is up, remove chicken from crock pot and shred with two forks; return shredded chicken back into broth mixture and stir well before serving.
- Serve: Plate up with your desired side dishes; see suggestions below!
