Ingredients:

  • 3-4 pounds Beef Sirloin Tip Roast
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme (or fresh thyme, if available)
  • 2 cups Beef Broth or Stock
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 medium-sized Carrots, chopped into chunks
  • 4 medium-sized Potatoes, cut into quarters
  • 1 large Onion, quartered

Instructions:

  1. Pat the beef sirloin tip roast dry with paper towels. This helps in browning. Rub olive oil all over the roast.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. Season the meat generously on all sides with this spice mixture.
  3. For extra flavor depth, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear each side of the roast for about 3–5 minutes until browned. This step is optional but highly recommended.
  4. Place chopped carrots, quartered potatoes, and onion at the bottom of your slow cooker to create a bed for your roast.
  5. Pour beef broth or stock into the slow cooker along with soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Carefully place your seasoned roast on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker.
  7. Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 4 hours. The meat should be tender and easily shredded when done.
