Ingredients:
- 3-4 pounds Beef Sirloin Tip Roast
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme (or fresh thyme, if available)
- 2 cups Beef Broth or Stock
- ¼ cup Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 3 medium-sized Carrots, chopped into chunks
- 4 medium-sized Potatoes, cut into quarters
- 1 large Onion, quartered
Instructions:
- Pat the beef sirloin tip roast dry with paper towels. This helps in browning. Rub olive oil all over the roast.
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. Season the meat generously on all sides with this spice mixture.
- For extra flavor depth, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear each side of the roast for about 3–5 minutes until browned. This step is optional but highly recommended.
- Place chopped carrots, quartered potatoes, and onion at the bottom of your slow cooker to create a bed for your roast.
- Pour beef broth or stock into the slow cooker along with soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
- Carefully place your seasoned roast on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 4 hours. The meat should be tender and easily shredded when done.
