Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs (900 g) frozen chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup (240 ml) BBQ sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp (5 g) garlic powder
  • 1 tsp (5 g) onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 g) smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place frozen chicken thighs directly in the crock pot.
  3. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated.
  4. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C). Use tongs or a fork to shred the chicken in the pot.
  6. Stir the shredded chicken to coat it in sauce well before serving.
