Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast, trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. Pat the beef cubes dry with paper towels to ensure spices adhere properly.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the beef with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the seasoned beef into the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the beef, then scatter the cubed butter across the top.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours. Do not open the lid during the cooking process to maintain steam.
  6. Gently stir the beef to incorporate the melted butter into the sauce. For a thicker glaze, leave the lid off and cook on HIGH for an additional 30 minutes.
