Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 4 tablespoons (56g) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
- Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in the skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the steak cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Sear on all sides for about 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt.
- Add the minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the melted butter. Cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic herb butter sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
