Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Apple Cider (unfiltered preferred)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Cranberry Juice (100% juice, not cocktail mix)
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Spiced Simple Syrup
  • 4 oz (120 ml) Prosecco or other dry sparkling wine, chilled
  • Apple slice, fresh cranberries, rosemary sprig (for garnish)
  • ½ cup (100g) Granulated Sugar (for spiced simple syrup)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) Water (for spiced simple syrup)
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks (for spiced simple syrup)
  • 3 Whole Cloves (for spiced simple syrup)
  • 2 Star Anise (for spiced simple syrup)

Instructions:

  1. Make the Spiced Simple Syrup: Combine sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes. Strain and cool.
  2. Chill glass if not using a shaker.
  3. Combine Ingredients (Shaker Method): Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add apple cider, cranberry juice, lemon juice, and spiced simple syrup. Shake well until chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into your prepared glass.
  5. Top with chilled Prosecco.
  6. Garnish with an apple slice, fresh cranberries, and a rosemary sprig.
