Ingredients:

  • 8 cups popped popcorn, air-popped or lightly buttered
  • 4 cups pretzel twists or sticks
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup Halloween-themed chocolate candies
  • 1 cup Halloween-themed sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts (optional)
  • 4 ounces white chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tsp vegetable shortening (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the popcorn, pretzels, candy corn, Halloween chocolate candies, peanuts (if using), and half of the sprinkles.
  2. If using white chocolate, combine the white chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Do not overheat!
  3. Drizzle the melted chocolate (or colored melting wafers) evenly over the snack mix. Immediately sprinkle with the remaining Halloween sprinkles.
  4. If using melted chocolate, spread the snack mix in a single layer on parchment paper and allow the chocolate to cool and set completely (about 20-30 minutes). If not using melted chocolate, skip this step.
  5. Once the chocolate is set (if used), break the snack mix into pieces. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
