Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon minced green onion
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) (optional)
  • 1.5 pounds beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onion, and gochugaru.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and mix well. Ensure the beef is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil.
  4. Once the pan is hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer, sauté for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Once cooked, remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with extra green onions if desired.
