Ingredients:
- 2 large sweet potatoes (about 1.5 lbs / 680g), peeled and cubed into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt (5g)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (3g)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2g)
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (1g)
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for a little kick) (0.5g)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel the sweet potatoes (optional but recommended) and cut them into roughly 1-inch cubes. Aim for uniform size for even cooking.
- In a large bowl, toss the cubed sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Make sure the sweet potatoes are evenly coated.
- Spread the seasoned sweet potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (optional). Avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the sweet potatoes are tender and caramelized, with slightly crispy edges. This is a great roasted sweet potato recipe.
- The sweet potatoes are done when they are easily pierced with a fork.
