Ingredients:
- 1 cup (237 ml) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) smoked paprika
- 1 tsp (5 ml) dried oregano
- 1 tsp (5 ml) dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chicken broth
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) hot sauce
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
- In the saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the melted butter. Sauté until softened and fragrant.
- Stir in the Old Bay seasoning, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, oregano, thyme, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, chicken broth, and hot sauce. Whisk to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Stir in the fresh parsley. Pour generously over your seafood boil.
