- 2 large eggs (approximately 100g total)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder (5g)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5g)
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) (100g)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Stir in chopped walnuts or pecans, if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. The top should be golden brown.
