Ingredients:

  • 4 Tyson chicken breast fillets (about 1 lb / 450 g)
  • 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup (120 ml) buttermilk
  • ½ cup (120 g) mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (e.g., Frank
  • s RedHot)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup (50 g) shredded lettuce
  • 8-12 dill pickle slices

Instructions:

  1. Combine buttermilk and egg in a bowl. Submerge chicken fillets in marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each fillet in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan or deep fryer until hot (about 350°F / 175°C). Fry chicken fillets for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C). Drain on paper towels.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, hot sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spread spicy sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place fried chicken on top and add lettuce and pickles, followed by the top half of the bun.
