Ingredients:
- 4 Tyson chicken breast fillets (about 1 lb / 450 g)
- 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup (120 ml) buttermilk
- ½ cup (120 g) mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (e.g., Frank
- s RedHot)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
- 1 cup (50 g) shredded lettuce
- 8-12 dill pickle slices
Instructions:
- Combine buttermilk and egg in a bowl. Submerge chicken fillets in marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a shallow dish, mix together flour, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each fillet in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Heat oil in a frying pan or deep fryer until hot (about 350°F / 175°C). Fry chicken fillets for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C). Drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, hot sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Spread spicy sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place fried chicken on top and add lettuce and pickles, followed by the top half of the bun.
