Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon (2g) sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1g) black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon (1g) red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for added brightness)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Trim the ends and slice the Brussels sprouts in half.
- In a large bowl, combine Brussels sprouts, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss until well-coated.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut sides facing down.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy and golden, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the Brussels sprouts for the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with lemon zest if using before serving.
