Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3.5 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until a foamy layer forms.
  2. Stir in the melted butter and egg. Gradually add flour and salt, stirring until a soft, tacky dough forms.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl or directly in a 7-inch springform pan. Cover with a clean kitchen towel.
  4. Place the bowl or pan on the trivet inside the Instant Pot. Close the lid and use the 'Yogurt' setting or residual warmth for 45 minutes until the dough doubles in size.
  5. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a 12x18 inch rectangle. Spread the softened butter across the surface, then sprinkle evenly with the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the long edge into a log. Cut into 12 even pieces using unflavored dental floss for a clean cut.
  7. Place rolls in the pan and cook in the Instant Pot for 15 minutes.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.
