Ingredients:

  • 2 (6-ounce/170g each) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15ml)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (5ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.25ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the skin crisp up.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, Italian herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush or drizzle the marinade evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes. This helps ensure even cooking.
  5. Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side up (if using skin-on fillets), ensuring they aren't overcrowded. If your air fryer is small, cook in batches.
  6. Air fry for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer - it should reach 145°F (63°C).
  7. Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
