Ingredients:
- 2 (6-ounce/170g each) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15ml)
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.25ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the skin crisp up.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, Italian herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Brush or drizzle the marinade evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes. This helps ensure even cooking.
- Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side up (if using skin-on fillets), ensuring they aren't overcrowded. If your air fryer is small, cook in batches.
- Air fry for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer - it should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
