Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (6-8 oz each), skin on or off, preferably skin-on for extra crispiness (170-230g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (5 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet) (1.25 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill (1.25 ml)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. This is crucial for even cooking!
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels (this helps with crisping).
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, dill, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush or rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
  5. Place salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Ensure they are not overlapping.
  6. Air fry for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Check internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer; it should reach 145°F (63°C).
  7. Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve immediately.
