Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets (6-8 oz each), skin on or off, preferably skin-on for extra crispiness (170-230g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (5 ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet) (1.25 ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon dried dill (1.25 ml)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. This is crucial for even cooking!
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels (this helps with crisping).
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, dill, salt, and pepper.
- Brush or rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
- Place salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Ensure they are not overlapping.
- Air fry for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Check internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer; it should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve immediately.
