Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 tbsp (15ml) extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp (3g) sea salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
- 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp (8g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp (5ml) fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- Wash the green beans thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel until no moisture remains, then trim the stem ends using a knife or shears.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the beans with olive oil, sea salt, and cracked black pepper until every bean is evenly coated in a thin layer of oil.
- Spread the seasoned beans in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring there is space between each bean to prevent steaming.
- Roast in a preheated 425°F (220°C) oven for 15-20 minutes until the beans appear slightly shriveled with mahogany-colored charred spots.
- During the final 5 minutes of roasting, evenly distribute the minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese over the beans.
- Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice before serving.
