Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces (225g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (8 ounce / 225g) can crushed pineapple, well-drained
  • 1/2 cup (50g) chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup (100g) chopped pecans
  • Optional: Finely chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

  1. Thoroughly drain the crushed pineapple. Press out any excess liquid.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix until well combined.
  3. Stir in the drained pineapple, chopped green bell pepper, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.
  4. Using your hands or a spatula, shape the cheese mixture into a ball.
  5. Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up.
  6. Spread the chopped pecans onto a plate or shallow bowl. Roll the chilled cheese ball in the pecans, pressing gently to ensure they adhere.
  7. Transfer the pineapple cheese ball to a serving plate. Garnish with finely chopped parsley, if desired. Serve with crackers, vegetables, or pretzels.
