Ingredients:
- 8 ounces (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 8 ounces (225g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 (8 ounce / 225g) can crushed pineapple, well-drained
- 1/2 cup (50g) chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup (60ml) chopped green onions
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup (100g) chopped pecans
- Optional: Finely chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
- Thoroughly drain the crushed pineapple. Press out any excess liquid.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the drained pineapple, chopped green bell pepper, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.
- Using your hands or a spatula, shape the cheese mixture into a ball.
- Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up.
- Spread the chopped pecans onto a plate or shallow bowl. Roll the chilled cheese ball in the pecans, pressing gently to ensure they adhere.
- Transfer the pineapple cheese ball to a serving plate. Garnish with finely chopped parsley, if desired. Serve with crackers, vegetables, or pretzels.
